As many of you know, there has been a big push, on the part of the big carriers, to squeeze free conference call businesses like NCC out of business by pressuring the FCC into restructuring the rules that govern calling systems like ours. Despite enthusiastic support from our users and fans during the public comment period, in September the FCC sided firmly with the big carriers, and it appears our days may be numbered. We are taking legal action where appropriate, but this article from The Guardian sums up rather well where we are at this point.
